Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church

On July 28, 1962, the Lord blessed the home of Pete and Elease Kennedy with a
son. He was the sixth of eleven children and little did they know how special he
would turn out to be, for in this bouncing baby boy God had already placed the
preaching gift and ordained him to proclaim the good news of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ.

Rev. T. W. Kennedy grew up in the city of Terrell and obtained his formal
education in the Terrell Independent School District, and graduated from high
school in 1980. He attended Tyler Jr. College, and graduated from the American
Trades Institute with an Automotive Certification in 1990.

Despite his best efforts to avoid the calling of God on his life. Pastor Kennedy
accepted Christ and was baptized in February 1990. He then acknowledged his
call into the Gospel Ministry, preaching his first sermon on April 29, 1990.

As the associate minister of the New Hope Baptist Church he placed himself
under the leadership of the late Rev. B.H. Wyatt and was ordained to carry out
all the duties of the gospel preaching on November 8, 1994.

His responsibilities under Rev. Wyatt included serving as an associate minister
performing all the duties of the church in the absence of the Pastor, and
carrying out all assignments as given to him by the Pastor.

Theological education has been an important part of the development of Pastor
Kennedy over the last few years. In 1993 he attended the D. Edwin Johnson
Institute. Since 1999 he has been a regular attendee at the WHW Expository
Preaching and Teaching Conference in Los Angeles, California.

As a student of WHW he is obtaining credits that can be applied toward his
seminary degree. His work through WHW has led to his becoming known for
rightly dividing the word of truth. He is a powerful preacher who will stand firm
on the word of the Lord.
When Pastor Kennedy is not preparing to preach or visiting members who are
sick, he loves to work on cars, fish, read, and do a little barbecuing.
Since 1983 Rev. Kennedy has been the proud husband of Sis. LaTrisha Wilcots
Kennedy. They have three children: Jonathan, Charlease, and Calvin. And have
been blessed with eight grand children.
